The conference brings AYUSH researchers, clinicians, neuroscientists, psychiatrists, neurologists and Public Health professionals together to examine evidence, methods and responsible models of integrative care.

Department of Integrative Medicine

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, widely known as NIMHANS, is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and a globally recognised centre for excellence in mental health, neurosciences and allied disciplines.

Functioning since 2019, the Department of Integrative Medicine brings together Ayurveda, Yoga and modern Biomedicine to create evidence-based models of integrative care in mental health and neurosciences.

In 2022, NIMHANS was awarded the Centre of Excellence in AYUSH Research under the Ayurswasthya Yojana of the Ministry of AYUSH, marking a significant step towards scientifically grounded integrative mental healthcare in India.
